 OH&S Policy
Occupational Health and Safety is an integral part of SKM piling operations and we believe the safety of our employees, subcontractors, community or people affected by our activities, a major priority which requires significant consideration. We are committed to ensuring the well being of our employees, subcontractors, community and we are dedicated to continually improving and implementing our company’s Safe Working Procedures and Policies. We believe in the importance for each staff members to look out for his fellow employee, making sure they are working safely, in a safe environment to avoid accidents from occurring.
The objectives of our OH&S Policy are:
- To achieve an accident free workplace.
- To ensure safety is considered from the planning stages of activities and to ensure adequate safe working systems are developed for each activity.
- To provide continuous consultation with workers on safe working systems and provide training or education to ensure employees work in a safe manner.
- To establish a safe working culture within SKM Piling through training, consulting and implementing the company’s safe working systems, procedures and policies.
- To apply risk management by identifying, assessing, eliminating and controlling potential hazards in the workplace.
- To comply and operate in accordance with OH&S legislation and standards.
- To meet the requirements of AS/NZS: 4801 through integration, review and monitoring.
This policy shall apply to all SKM Piling activities and includes its staff, contractors, office and sites.
The key to the success of our OHS Policy relies on:
- Adequate consideration to safety during planning stages to develop suitable control measures, adequate training and workers having a thorough understanding of the procedures and associated risks.
- A solid commitment to achieving our OHS Policy objectives by all staff, in all workplaces, at all levels of operation.
